I know he's probably loved and very well taken care of, but this horse just doesn't look happy - maybe it was just that moment. The reins are pretty tight, and his ears show some confusion - I don't want to call this bad riding because I can't make an assumption based on one moment, but this shot just stuck out to me.

he does look slightly uncomfortable and rather unhappy. hes cute though. and he must be well taken care of cause hes got all those dapples on his side....

He is Gorgeous! But I can see discomfort in his eyes. Then again I know what it's like to show, get slightly nervous and have a death grip on my reins. Hopefully that was just the case.

You're right, he does look really distressed. Probably because whomever is riding him is hauling back on that gag bit. >< What can you do, though? I think one of the marks of a good artist is the ability to capture emotion and you've certainly done that here. He is a pretty boy...
